Ryszard Stemplowski, LLM, PhD, D.Habil.(hist.). Professor of International Studies, Uniwersytet Jagielloński, Kraków (2005–2010). Research fellow of the Institute of History, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw (1974–1989); Visiting Fellow at St. Antony’s, Oxford (1974), he was a recipient of a postdoctoral research grant of the Robert Bosch-Stiftung (1980–1981) and of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung Fellowship (Universitat zu Koln, 1981–1982), and served as Szef Kancelarii Sejmu (Secretary General of the Chamber of Deputies, 1990–1993), Ambassador to London (1994–1999), and the founding Director of the [new] Polish Institute of International Affairs (1999–2004).
